Much Style

I’m always on the perpetual hunt for great online sites to get some smoking deals. So I was excited to hear about Muchness. This hip, new fashion start-up out of New York offers designer clothing at affordable prices.

Muchness compiles sale items from top fashion brands including Marc Jacobs (love), Burberry, ASOS, Topshop, Theory, Tory Burch (love) and more. This includes flash sale sites, such as Gilt, as well as sites like Shopbop and Saks Fifth Avenue. This is a great opportunity to add some great designer pieces to your closet at a fraction of the cost. Hopefully I can finally get the Marc Jacobs purse I’ve been lusting after!

Definitely a great price for a Marc Jacobs piece. I love this bright pink color for summer.

The shopping experience is super simple and lets you to filter by designer, category, size or price. Also they have a “Featured People” page which will let users create and share curated style collections (sounds just like Pinterest just for clothes!)

The brand is launching at the end of March, and they would love to offer special early access to Five & Dime readers using the link below.

Loving all of these turquoise accent pieces. I just picked up two turquoise necklaces and I can’t wait to style them. I love the bold, pop of color turquoise brings to monochromatic looks.

Gap Scarf Revised

Picked up this cute Gap scarf today at Thrift Trader in North Park. Love the mixture of the blue tones on this print. Perfect for when I work at the Azul office. It’s also super lightweight, which is fantastic for breezy San Diego weather.

Pretty for Pennies: eos smooth sphere review

Tired of your regular ChapStick? I’ve been wanting to try out the eos (evolution of smooth) smooth sphere for a while. I recently picked up one of these cuties at Wal-mart and I really like it! It keep my lips smoochable & soft, check. Plus, I’m really digging the unique packaging, check plus!  Its unique shape & bright color makes it a cinch to find in my Mary Poppin’s purse. I purchased the Summer Fruit flavor, which has notes of strawberry, blueberry and peach. The eos smooth sphere contains vitamin E, shea butter, jojoba oils and is all-natural. Highly recommend this fun, budget beauty buy.

Chic DIY: Terra Cotta Transformation

Terra Cotta Pot Edit

Today I wanted to show you a quick & easy DIY to makeover your standard terra cotta pot. The terra cotta pot was free as I got a succulent from ProPlants a while back. You can also purchase cheap terra cotta pots from the dollar store.

I was looking for a creative way to incorporate the chalkboard paint I used for the wedding. I recommend Martha Stewart Crafts: Multi-Surface Chalkboard Acrylic Craft Paint in the color Tableau Noir. I think I got this at Michaels.

Chalkboard Paint Edit

Simply take the terra cotta pot and paint it. I did two coats to get the dark chalkboard look. Let dry for an hour and voila you’re done! I tied a piece of black and white bakers twine around the top for some contrast. I repurposed my revamped terra cotta pot to hold utensils when I entertain, but the possibilities are endless. There you have it, a simple & chic DIY with a $0 price tag!

I saw some other ways to jazz up terra cotta pots on Pinterest. Check them out below!

Chic Style – On Target Jewelry

Target NecklaceThis Monday’s post features this beautiful necklace I purchased from Target this weekend while in Vegas for Amy’s baby shower. I love the funky, Eqyptian-esque look of this piece which would look great with a black maxi dress or tunic shirt, leggings and boots. Can’t wait to style it! Even better, the necklace was on SALE. Amy and Brandy loved this necklace so much they bought it too!

I found the necklace online at Target (link below). Note: the price is slightly more online ($5.94) but still a great deal!

Total Price Tag – $5.08
